Vaal Aerotropolis
Planned as a Public Private Partnership, the Vaal Aerotropolis is intended to serve as the freight and logistics hub of the Sedibeng Vaal Special Economic Zone. The development will include an international airport, cargo terminal, airport trade zone, agri zone and Vaal Airport City, with office, retail, hospitality, leisure and medical tourism components.

Heidelberg Aerodrome
Heidelberg Airport was handed over to MTP Aviation in 2021 to maximise the economic potential of the property and develop it into a fully functioning aerodrome supporting regional economic development. Under the 60-year concession awarded by Lesedi Local Municipality, the project will include a multi-billion rand construction programme, a dedicated trade zone and a world-class cargo terminal.
